Tourist Attractions in Lorsch, Germany
Lorsch is a small town, with a picturesque town square (Marktplatz) and a historic cloister which is a UNESCO site.
• Marktplatz. has half-timbered buildings including the town hall (Rathaus) with a fountain.
• Lorsch's town hall (Lorscher Rathaus) (built between 1714 and 1715) - current location of the Tourist Information and the Adult Education Center
• Kloster Lorsch (located near the Marktplatz). This abbey and cloister is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was one of the most renowned monasteries of the Carolingian Empire. Even in its ruined state, its remains are among the most important pre-Romanesque–Carolingian style buildings in Germany.
Its chronicle, entered in the Lorscher Codex compiled in the 1170s is a fundamental document for early medieval German history. Another famous document from the monastic library is the Codex Aureus of Lorsch.

• Half-timbered buildings, along Bahnhofstraße (between the railway station and the Marktplatz).
• Palais von Hausen Bahnhofstraße 18. In 1779, Sophie von Hausen, the second wife of the Oberforstmeisters, built a pompous three-storey country house on the site of the Lorsch Freihof, with a central entrance, outside staircase, ornamental balcony, French mansard roof and a large vaulted cellar.
• The Weißes Kreuz, Lorsch's oldest guesthouse (1563) Marktplatz 2.
• Wattenheimer Brücke (bridge) is a historic building from the late 18th century in the south of the Hessian Ried, which leads over the river Weschnitz near the town of Lorsch.
• Bahnhof Lorsch. The station Lorsch is located on the single-track, non-electrified railway line Worms -Bensheim (Nibelungenbahn) and is classified in the station category 6. The address of the station is Lindenstraße 1.
