DANIEL ȘTEFĂNIȚĂ
Lake Winnipesaukee is located in Central New Hampshire, USA, two-hour drive from Boston. Area of water surface is about 186 Km2 and has 264 smaller and larger islands, making it a very attractive boating destination.
The lake is surrounded by several quiet, charming, small towns, places where there is no rush hour, people go out of their way to help: Center Harbor, Meredith, Laconia, Alton and Wolfeboro.
The town of Wolfeboro was granted in 1759, settled in 1768, and incorporated in 1770. It was granted by the colonial Governor John Wentworth and named for General Wolfe who was the hero of the Battle of Quebec. The town is considered “The Oldest Summer Resort in America." For some visitors is a four-season vacation destination. For others, considering that winters are pretty cold, is just one or two seasons.
